Storyboards & Animatics
Part of the process of creating the storyboards for GistMD included working closely with the doctors, script writers and art director. Integrating the important medical information with a story, in the goal of both helping the medical staff and patients.
The videos are built out of separate content boxes that are replaced respectively - only the relevant content boxes are sent to each patient. The storyboards have to be planned accordingly.
Colonoscopy Preparation Storyboard & Animatic
Preparing for a colonoscopy can be excessive and unpleasant, usually consisting of a few days of eating a scarce diet and taking laxatives (quite unpleasant indeed).
In addition, if the preparation is not done sufficiently, the procedure will need to be scheduled again. And so, these are parts of the storyboard for the video that helps thoroughly prepare people with personalized instruction, before undergoing a colonoscopy.
GLP1 Storyboard & Animatic
Some types of diabetes are treated with GLP1 hormone injection or pills, helping the body create more insulin and absorb the sugar in cells. These clips are part of the full animatic personalized to patients that are starting this kind of diabetes treatment.
Atrial Fibrillation
Storyboard & Animatic
Patients with Atrial Fibrillation will usually receive blood thinners as medication helping prevent blood clots that may cause heart attacks or stokes. These clips are part of the full animatic personalized to patients that are starting this kind of treatment, usually with prescription pills. In addition, a metaphor showing the a blood cells and clot as traffic is used to make the explanation accessible.
Stoma Storyboard & Animatic
This project consists of three storyboards & animatics for personalized animated videos sent to patients before and after they undergo a stoma surgery.
The first video is sent to patients before the stoma surgery, explaining how the digestive system works and what a stoma is. The second video is sent to patients after their stoma surgery and explains in detail how to personalize and apply the ostomy products properly. The third video is also sent to patients after their stoma surgery. This video is about the different aspects of life that are influenced by the stoma, socially, intimately and physically.
